Montgomery House – The Dining Room

The spacious dining room connects the front room and the kitchen of this home.  Located in the front corner of the house, the windows on the front wall offer a nice view of the house's front lawn.  The bookcase in the corner once belonged to James' father, William Montgomery, and many of the books therein are older than James himself.

The family gathers in this room every morning for breakfast and every evening for dinner.  While lunch is a more informal affair, and conflicting schedules often prevent the family from being able to share an afternoon meal together, they feel it is crucial to begin and end the day together, preferably over a good, hot, home-cooked meal.
