"Kira what?" "Thompson. Kira Thompson." I echoed the name quietly after him, prompting my friend to add, "Why? What was the other girl's last name?" "She didn't say," I answered reluctantly. I watched in silence as the cocked eyebrow and thoughtful chin-stroking resumed. "Eh? Eh?" he prodded.
