The kitchen, dining room, and laundry room of the Kyme house are all combined into one, with a "half-wall" separating the kitchen and dining areas. The windowed door next to the refrigerator leads to the garage, formerly used as a carport, which came to be used as a storage space for everything from Robert's old woodworking table to the family barbecue and even an old grandfather clock that was gifted to Robert and Carol on their wedding day. Located directly behind the front room/living room, the kitchen's location makes it ideal for grabbing a quick snack after work or school, or for heating up an "instant dinner" for consuming in front of the television, and with a table fit for seating six, there is always room for guests at the dinner table. |
