2004-07-07 21:34:00 ─4th of July Pics─ It's not really an update-- well, not to this site anyway. I uploaded some 4th of July pics to my FortuneCity site. Basically took some snaps of fireworks using the "night mode" thing on my camera, and then messed around with 'em in Corel. You can check 'em out by going to http://members.fortunecity.com/kente11514/the4th/index.html. As for actual updates... well, priority one right now is getting some Poodlemeat written up for Zanna. After that, we'll see. Ciaopeops.

2004-06-18 16:58:00 MáS y MáS... Uploaded the FAQ a couple'a nights ago to make a cheap joke on my LJ-- course, i didn't have any links to it on the site until just a few minutes ago, so fat lotta good that did. Anywho, i have the new "interlinked" Home and Profile pages up. But between Nessa-ing, SSX-ing, and lust plain being lazy, i haven't gotten around to "error-checking" them, so... problems are expected. If you take time to read through the whole FAQ-- then you're probably more bored than i am here. =P No, wait-- what i meant to say was... if you take time to read through the whole FAQ, you'll probably notice a lot of "continuity errors", especially dealing with dates and locations. I'm working on correcting that. The next upload to the site will probably be a comprehensive timeline entailing the "History and Pre-History of the North Star Universe" (i've already got a link to it on the Main Index page-- but it doesn't do anything). Will probably begin with rough estimates of when the civilization began (it's hard to say, really), and end with TS427-- the series' "Year One." Otherstuff... uploaded six new profiles, including James' former wife and her son and the Kymes' next-door neighbors, the Morgans. Oh yeah-- and i gave the Montgomery's a pool. Figured that would be cool for them to have. I updated the "obvious" images (the overview and the back patio), but i haven't re-shot the rooms (like the upstairs bathroom) where the pool would be visible in the background, but not readily apparent. I might get to that later. And i might eventually get rid of the "gridlines" on the grass outside the kitchen. =) But yeah. That's it for now. There's more videogame playing to be done.

2004-06-09 02:11:00 UPDATES... Well first and foremost, i finally decided to freakin' do something with this start page, instead of just having some big <h1> heading that screamed "HAVE SOME CRAP!!!" It's not much, but it's a start. Also, i've removed really the only two cool things i had going on this site-- the Arkanoid Level Editor and the Super Metroid Animated Sprites-- in order to make room for this crappy NS:001 "Simsified" thing i'm working on. But they will be back... maybe. Eventually. Changes to the NS:001 page... I took out ALL the "blend effect" transitions between the pages-- mostly because the reason they were there in the first place was for the "walls-up, walls-down" view transitions, which i had to take out, not only for space considerations, but also because it didn't work at all like it was supposed to. (Honestly, it looked really cool on my hard disk...) Also, you can no longer rotate the "character images" in the character profiles. (Everyone in unison-- "You could do that before??") You can still kind'a play dress-up with 'em, but i might take that out, too, since there's no real reason for it-- not to mention it's kind'a "ghey". And that's it for now.
I'm currently working on "inter-linking" the pages-- so if you're looking at The Kyme House, for example, and it makes mention of the character Kevin Kyme, there'll be a link that you can click to bring up his profile (either in a new window or in the same one). There's also that FAQ i've been promising for awhile, and probably a "Thanks Page" (basically bringing to light the very few "non-Maxis" objects featured in the home models). Until then i guess you'll just have to guess as to what an élas is and who Gänema and Ädria are, and how the Asedorian calendar works, and where Suresta, Méria is in relation to Central. But you seem pretty smart, you can probably figure it out. I also plan to do character profiles for Mike Davis and his beau Suzanne, who evaded mention in the first incarnation of the "Simsified" story (which i never posted), but nevertheless played an integral part in guiding Kevin to his destiny. And i might even post pics of the "renovated" Kyme house-- after Kevin moved out and the house was returned to its original owners. (Probably wouldn't work that way here in the States-- but hey, this is Kiërda we're talking about.) So yeah. Stay tuned. All this and less to come... =P
